Darian Bird is a candidate for Redford Township Trustee and is dedicated to making positive change in Redford Township.
Born in Detroit and raised in Redford Township, Darian has an understanding of the issues facing the community. One of Darian's first "real" jobs was working for the Redford Parks Maintenance Department, beautifying and maintaining parks, maintenance, equipment installation, repairs and daily preparation of all 12 parks in Redford Township.

After graduating from college with his Political Science degree, Darian moved back to Redford and worked in the Clerk's Office before being promoted to Manager at the Water Department. Having a passion for music as well, he is now the music director at the church where he attends. Darian has served on the Redford Township Festival Committee, where he helped put on events and holiday outings to bring the community together. Darian is a current member of the Redford Democratic Club and Michigan Democratic Party. Darian is also the Deputy Clerk in Redford Township!

It has always been a dream of his to be involved in government. It is not a secret that since the second grade, he set his goal to one day become President of the United States. Darian is committed to transparency, accountability, and working collaboratively with the community to make Redford Township a better place for all.
